'The Manor' is about a man and a woman who spend a long weekend in a country house. The arrival of a friend forms the start of a range of strange meetings and ominous happenings. The movie has been produced in three weeks. A unique feature for me was the completely free hand I got in the styling. The location, a vacant Manor in the north of Groningen has been completely refurnished and decorated by me. By means of strong details and intense use of colours and decorative motives, that returned likewise in the costumes, the atmosphere was to a large part determined by the scenery design.
